REFURBISHMENT
A quick turn-around refurbishment project of one-bedroom apartment.
The flat was taken back and rebuilt room by room. A new galley kitchen in handleless pale grey, with integrated appliances and lighting set under the units and into the plinth. The bathroom was stripped and refitted in large-format porcelain, with a bath and glass screen, wall-hung basin, concealed cistern and a lit mirror. Pale engineered oak runs through the hall and living space, with a coir mat recessed flush at the entrance, and fitted cupboards and alcove shelving were made to suit the spaces the flat already had. Small flats are unforgiving — every junction shows. This one was planned in detail before anyone started on site, which is what made the short programme possible.
