SKYLIGHT INSTALLATION
We had an opportunity to take part in an interesting, bespoke-built project in a lovely location.
A bespoke new-build house in the Cotswolds, where we installed the skylights. Glazing of this size and weight has to be set out precisely, lifted into position safely, and made watertight first time, with the structural openings and upstands prepared to the millimetre beforehand. A good project in a lovely location, and a reminder that the details nobody notices are the ones holding the weather out.
Skylight and rooflight installation

Rooflights change a room more than almost anything else you can do to it: a dark back kitchen or a flat-roofed extension becomes somewhere you want to sit. The work behind that is structural. Openings have to be formed and trimmed properly, upstands built to the right height and fall, insulation and waterproofing detailed around the frame, and heavy units lifted in safely. We take care of all of it, from the structural opening to the finished plaster line, so there is no gap between trades and no argument about who owns a leak.
We design as well as build. Our interior design service covers layouts, finishes, joinery detailing and lighting, so natural light is planned into the scheme from the start rather than added later. Where you already have an architect or designer, we build to their drawings and specification.
